+How do I connect my Shapa scale and app?
Shapa connects via bluetooth to the app. Make sure you have bluetooth enabled on your smartphone. Once you open the app and step on the scale the scale will connect with the app.

+Why won't my scale sync?
Make sure that you have Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone. The scale syncs with app via Bluetooth (the light behind the S on the scale will turn blue when the app and scale are syncing). Try turning the Bluetooth 'off' and then back 'on' again on your phone, then step back up on your Shapa scale. +Can I sync my Shapa with other applications or devices?
The Shapa scale syncs with the Shapa app on your smartphone. You can connect Shapa with Apple Health to give Shapa access to additional information likes steps, activity, heart rate and more. The Shapa app will be connected to GoogleFit soon.

The Shapa questionnaire helps Shapa get to know you - your habits, personality, and lifestyle. Your responses on the questionnaire help Shapa to build your customized program of missions.

+How often should I use Shapa for best results?
We recommend stepping on your scale at the same time each morning and logging your hunger and fullness with each meal daily. The consistency of these habits leads to more accurate color feedback on your weight and eating trends.

+Do I need an active subscription to use Shapa?
Yes, all current features including the weigh-in experience require an active subscription. This applies to scales purchased directly from Shapa as a gift or for yourself as well as Shapa scales purchased second hand.

+Do you accept international orders?
Yep! Shapa is currently available to be shipped to the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Be sure to select the correct country when entering your shipping address at checkout.

+I don't have a smartphone. Can I still use Shapa?
The personalized program is only available on a smartphone. You can order a scale and take the questionnaire online at www.shapa.me/users but you won't have access to your personalized program without a smartphone.

The weight limit for the Shapa scale is 396 lbs (180 kgs).

+What is my Shapa Age?
Your Shapa Age is a truer metric of your health. It takes into account your body's natural fluctuations in weight as well as other health metrics to provide you a health age. Your Shapa Age gives you feedback on your progress over the course of your Shapa journey.

+What is the Shapa Color?
Shapa provides users with a 5-color feedback system to show you the direction your weight and eating habits are trending over time. This alleviates the demotivation or guilt of one bad weigh in or meal, and helps you focus on the bigger picture.

+What are missions and how do they work?
Missions are simple and fun activities that you can easily accomplish throughout the day to help you create healthier habits. Learn more about missions here.

+Where do my missions go after I complete them?
Shapa keeps track of your progress on your missions and will suggest new missions based on your responses in the questionnaire and the type of missions that has been successful for you. Shapa is constantly learning about you and adjusting your program as you complete missions and step on your Shapa scale. To help you stay on track you can add a reminder to complete your mission to your calendar.

+How does Shapa figure out my goals?
When you first join Shapa you are asked to fill out a questionnaire. Shapa uses your responses in the questionnaire to learn about your personality, hobbies and lifestyle, and environment. +Can I customize my goals?
You can update your responses to the questionnaire at any time by logging into your account on the Shapa website. Shapa will adjust your program based on your new responses. You can also update what you feel is your ideal weight and age in the app by clicking on Settings and Ideal Age & Weight.

+Will my goals change as I progress?
Shapa will continue to suggest and adjust activities for you based on your personality, habits, and environment. You'll also notice changes in your Shapa Color and Age as you progress towards long-term weight management and a healthy lifestyle to give you feedback and motivate you.

+Where is my weight displayed?
Shapa is intended to give you more clear and consistent feedback about how you are doing on your health journey within your body’s natural fluctuations. After a few weeks of using Shapa, you can choose to unlock your Weight History under Progress Review in the app. If you choose to unlock your Weight History, Shapa will show you your starting weight (based on an average of your first 10 measurements) and your current weight (based on an average of your most recent 10 measurements).

+Can I view my total progress in the app?
Your Shapa Age will give you feedback on your overall progress in the program. You can also view your Weigh-In History and Mission History in the app to see how far you’ve come in your Shapa program.

+How come I don't see my Shapa Color and Age right away when I start the program?
When you first start the Shapa program, you will be asked to step up on the scale twice a day, every morning and evening. You are encouraged to do this so that Shapa can learn about your body and it's natural fluctuations. Learn more here.

+How do I change my profile information?
Click on the Settings or hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the app to change your profile information. It's located in the top left corner of your Shapa dashboard (the main screen in the app).

+Can I share my profile with my friends?
Currently Shapa is a personal journey, but feel free to share your progress with your friends. If you have suggestions for features you would like to see on Shapa, drop us a line at askshapa@shapa.me.

+Where can I find my license key?
After you have placed your order for a Shapa scale and subscription you will receive an email from Shapa with your unique license key included.

+What is the purpose of the license key?
Shapa generates unique license keys for every paid Shapa subscription. You will need this license key to link your Shapa account with your subscription.

+Where do I enter the license key?
In the email that contains your license key, there is a direct link that will automatically enters the license key for you.. Alternatively, you can also type in your license key directly into the app when prompted.

+Where do I go to manage my subscription with Shapa?
Log into your Shapa account on Shapa’s website (https://www.myshapa.com/users/log_in). On the left hand side under your profile picture, you’ll see a button to Manage or Renew your subscriptions.

+Can I still use Shapa if I don’t renew my subscription?
If you decide not to renew your Shapa subscription you will still be able to weigh in with your Shapa scale. However, you will no longer have access to your Shapa Color after a weigh-in. Instead you'll see your weight as a number. Certain other features of the app including streaks, missions, health tips and motivations, as well as Progress Review will still be accessible to you. You can renew your subscription at any time on Shapa's website (https://www.myshapa.com/users/log_in).

+What diet should I follow with Shapa?
Shapa is not a diet program and is not associated with a specific diet. While we highly recommend eating fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, our goal is to help you create a balanced lifestyle that matches your life and your needs rather than a short term restrictive diet.

+Should I take any supplements?
Most people can meet all of their vitamin and mineral needs simply by eating a healthy diet. A daily multivitamin is possibly beneficial, but is not always necessary. That being said, many people may find that they need additional supplements to meet their needs for certain vitamins based on their diets or geographical location, however some vitamins and minerals can be dangerous at high levels. We recommend that you discuss vitamin supplements with your doctor to make sure that you do not accidentally exceed the safe dosage.

If you have questions about nutrition you will want to talk with a Registered Dietitian as they are trained specifically to help you with your questions. If you do not know how to get in touch with a Registered Dietitian, ask your doctor for a referral.
